Grow Your Therapy Practice With Blogging (Digital Course)
How to attract ideal clients WITHOUT paying for advertisements

How Would It Feel?

To attract ideal customers to your practice who are already loving your voice and style before they even set up their first appointment.

To have a consistent marketing strategy without having to pay for ads or keep up with changing social media trends.

To develop an option for building a passive income stream so you can focus on what you value most: health, wealth and relationships.

To develop an online presence as an authority in your field, gaining respect (and referrals) from peers and collaborating professionals.

As a therapist, you are passionate about helping others and improving their lives. So it makes sense that you would want to reach as many people as possible with your message. One great way to do that is through blogging.

In this course, I will teach you everything you need to know in order to use blogging to grow your therapy practice. We'll start by covering the basics of blogging with my 10 step process discussing how to write compelling content that engages readers and keeps them coming back for more.

From there, we'll move on to more advanced topics like search engine optimization (SEO) and social media marketing. You'll learn how to get your blog posts ranking high in Google search results so potential clients can find you easily. You'll also learn how to promote your blog content on social media channels like Facebook and LinkedIn.

But blogging isn't just about writing great content - it's also about building relationships with your readers. That's why I will also cover topics like email marketing and lead generation. You'll learn how to create an email list of interested readers who are eager to hear more from you, and how to use that list to build trust and credibility with potential clients.

Finally, I will discuss some of the ethical considerations involved in using blogging to grow your therapy practice. You'll learn best practices for maintaining confidentiality while still providing valuable insights and advice through your blog posts.

By the end of this course, you will have all the tools and knowledge necessary to leverage the power of blogging in order to grow your therapy practice. Whether you're just starting out or are looking for ways to take your practice to the next level, this course has something for everyone!

BONUS #3: In depth Look At Email Marketing
As a therapist, email marketing can be an effective way to reach potential clients and build relationships with current ones. Here are some key benefits of using email marketing in your practice:

Cost-effective: Email marketing can be a low-cost way to promote your services when compared to traditional advertising methods such as print or radio ads.

Targeted marketing: With email marketing, you can target specific groups of people based on their interests, demographic information, or previous interactions with your business.

Increased engagement: Emails that provide helpful content or special offers can help increase engagement with your practice and encourage readers to take action, such as booking an appointment or following your social media pages.

Relationship building: Consistent communication through email allows you to establish a relationship with potential and existing clients, which can lead to increased loyalty and trust in your services.

Analytics tracking: Email service providers often offer analytics tools that allow you to track open rates, click-through rates, and other valuable metrics that can inform future campaigns.

Overall, incorporating email marketing into your therapy practice can be a valuable tool for expanding your reach and building relationships with clients.

How is blogging going to help my business?
Increased Exposure

Every blog post you write can potentially reach a new audience. By consistently putting out high-quality content, you can steadily grow your following over time. Industry standard is a growing email list can earn you anywhere from $1-$5 per subscriber per month. Also it is great to build an email list now so if/when you create a course or a book you have a ready audience to market towards.

(I go into further details about email marketing with the course)

Better SEO

Search engines love fresh content, and incorporating relevant keywords into your blog posts can help boost your search engine rankings. The higher you appear on Google, the more likely someone will find your website organically [aka FREE] when they search "therapist near me."

To put this in perspective, when I was running Google Ads, I was paying anywhere from $2-$18 PER CLICK, just to be top of page on Google. And a click did not always mean a call or an email.

(In the course I teach how to find the perfect keywords to help you rank faster)

Blog Content Can Be Repurposed

Use your blogs to create podcasts, YouTube videos, or even books. Look at what some of these well known therapists have done with their brand all with blogging and other forms of content marketing: Brene Brown, Esther Perel, Private Practice Skills, & The Holistic Psychologist, & Sam Laura Brown from The Perfectionism Podcast

Establishing Expertise

By sharing valuable information in your niche or industry, you position yourself as an expert in the eyes of your readers. This expertise can not only help you get clients, but can lead you to landing speaking and writing gigs like the Savvy Psychologist and her posts on Psychology Today.

Some numbers to chew on:

The average speaker prices (per speech)

Newbie $500-$2,500

Newbie promoting book/brand $5-10k

Established book and brand $10-20k

Well known in field $20-35k per talk

Building Relationships

Engaging with readers through comments and social media can help foster strong relationships with potential customers. Blogs help them hear and know your voice so they can sign up with confidence. This is VITAL especially if you are a self pay practice.

Increase your Revenue with Affiliate Marketing

Think about this for a second... if you write one review post on a resource you already use (think Alma, Headway, or Simple Practice) and someone signs up using your affiliate link that is easy money directly to you.

Remember, this blog post is written once and lives on forever!

To give you an idea of what to expect: Alma pays $500 per referral, Simple Practice pays $100-$150, and Headway is currently offering $250.

(I talk more about affiliate marketing in the course as it is by far the easiest way to make passive income.)

I just want to thank you for spending some time with me today. This offer can truly transform your business - but it requires action and effort. I know this because I have done it myself.

I started blogging while on maternity leave, and have turned a hobby into a profitable business strategy that has allowed me to fill my practice with ideal clients AND build a side business exclusively focused on passive income. Both of these blessings have allowed me the opportunity to break free from the confines of my office and focus on the two most valuable assets in my life-- family and health.

I know you can do this, and I'm here to help you. I have poured all I have learned about blogging into this course so you too can build financial freedom, however that might look for you.

Commonly Asked Questions
  • Why should I write my own blog if I can hire someone else to do it?
Writing your own blog allows you to control the content that appears on the page; this gives you the ability to highlight what makes you stand out and focus on topics that are important to you as a professional therapist.
  • What other costs (outside of this course) are there to running a blog?
The great things about blogging is it is very inexpensive. If you already have a website, you should be able to add a blog page with ease (most website builders have templates build into their system).

If you are starting from nothing, you will need a website (aka: a domain name and hosting service). This will cost you roughly $12/year for the domain name and another $7-$14/month to host your website with a platform like Blue Host.

Those two things are the primary expenses you will have for a basic website. The fancier you get, the more you can add on but for a simple site you are looking all it at well under $30/month.
  • I am not a writer, how will this apply to me?
Even without strong writing skills, you can still have a successful blog. I myself have a diagnosis of dyslexia and a reading disorder and use tools like Word and AI to help edit all my content. You can also use dictation tools to help speed up the writing process.
  • I HATE writing, why should I take this course?
The lessons discussed in this course can be used to create podcasts and YouTube channels as well as blogs. Once you master the framework of how to create content from idea to publication, the way you present it (video, written, audio) is flexible.
  • Who should NOT take this course?
I do believe the lessons in this course are universal, however there are some populations that will not benefit as much as others. The populations that come to mind are:

    1) Generalists who take everyone (all insurances, all therapy problems)-- This is because the demand for therapy is so high, that if you are working with everyone there is no need to market. People will find by being on their insurance list and/or a simple Psychology Today profile.

    2) Employee on a salary job with no plans of a side hustle or breaking out on their own--Some people are very happy working their 9-5 job for someone else. If this is you and you are not looking to diversify your income or start your own practice, save the marketing for your employer. You have enough on your plate.

    3) Someone not willing to put in the time/consistency-- Blogging is simple but not easy. It takes time (beginners about 8hrs per blog post) and consistency for there there to be a return on investment. If you know your schedule is packed to the brim, and/or you have no desire to put in the work needed to maintain a blog then this is not for you. Blogging is not a quick fix even with all the tips and ticks in this course.

    4) Someone who hates using the computer-- Blogging is a digital game, no way around it. So if you hate using the computer and/or have no interest in learning via self study, you are better off focusing your marketing on networking and word of mouth referrals.
  • Are there any prerequisites to taking this course?
This course will work best for those who have their own website and/or the capabilities of setting up their own website with a blog. Most major website designs have blog templates included. I use WordPress with Blue Host. Wix also has an easy webpage builder.
